Dr. Leo Doherty’s areas of expertise include improving the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, particularly in the areas of recurrent miscarriage, uterine fibroids, embryo and oocyte cryopreservation, uterine anomalies, and minimally invasive endoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery.
Dr. Doherty has pursued his interest in clinical and basic research and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Fertility and Sterility, the FASEB Journal, and the American Journal of Physiology Endocrinology Metabolism. He has authored chapters in various textbooks, including Gynecologic Laparoscopic Surgery and Hysteroscopy and Assisted Reproduction Case Studies. As a national guest speaker, Dr. Doherty travels throughout the United States and lectures on endometrial tolerance and the effects of fibroids on the endometrium.
Having two young children reminds Dr. of the gift of parenthood. “Having experienced trying to conceive and early pregnancy complications firsthand, I understand the challenges my patients face,” he shared. “I know how rewarding it is to become a parent, and it inspires me to help them achieve their goals.”
